Progress

We have been gaining information from our lost opportunities and tenders to improve our approach and future submissions. We especially need to hone our responses for the larger opportunities that we are targeting. Feedback from Pennington’s although disappointing was very positive and proves we are competitive in the larger project space.

Spindogs Marketing

Umbraco Awards – we have submitted Yorkshire Housing for the best-designed site, fingers crossed!

Marketing club – we hosted our second marketing club event of the year with Richard Wolfe, head of brand at Hyundai UK.

Market Share @ Tramshed Tech, GA4 webinars and .NET meetup – Ryan will be speaking at a GA4 event at Market Share and we are keeping him busy with two other GA4 sector-specific events in May, targeted at housing associations and educational institutions.

BARK 11 – content is underway and design is due to start in May with a planned release for the first week of June.

Housing Expo – visuals are being worked on as we speak and we’ll give you all a sneak peek once they have been completed.

Content Guide – we’re currently working our way through various docs in our arsenal, to ensure they are up to date – both content and brand-wise.  

Notebooks – we now have branded notebooks available for everyone in the team. We will be working with Mands to get these sent out to all homeworkers in the next couple of weeks and we will be giving them to everyone Cardiff based the next time you are in the office.


People & Culture 

People Docs – We are reviewing and revising some of our processes, policies and guides to go into Zoho Learn

Recruitment and onboarding – continue to be a priority ​

  • We have received over 150 applications in the past month for the PM and PHP Dev roles alone
  • We are also recruiting for a Client Support Rep and a .NET Dev
  • Ensuring all applicants are replied to in a timely fashion and making sure the candidates have a good experience

Lunch ‘n’ learns – Craig from Penguin Wealth hosted a lunch ‘n’ learn on ‘Long-term Financial Planning’ ​

Watercooler Conference – Mands went to the Watercooler Conference this week, where speakers from the likes of the Ministry of Justice, Microsoft, Jaguar Land Rover, BBC and Save the Children, focussed on workplace wellbeing

Culture Club – Held the first Culture Club meeting in the new format. Had a great turn out and it was great to soundboard ideas with everyone

Recognition styles – There are 3 different ways you can Goodvibes/Appreciation Station/PeopleHR

Teams reunite – Our WordPress & Bespoke Solutions teams are reuniting!

Digital Marketing

GA4 Training – Ryan’s taking the stage with virtual sector-specific GA4 training sessions for Housing and Education with a view to continuing for Membership. Ryan will also be talking at the Market Share event at Tramshed, talking all things GA4

Projects – Abigail and Chris have kicked off their sessions with the NHS and the team have been asked to do another campaign with USW exchange

Project Management

NHS project – NHS successfully closed its Onboarding, Discovery and Review phase and we’ve undertaken a series of workshops.

New team member – Welcoming Lauren from Support from the end of the month!

Business Partner

Hyundai event at Spindogs  – Welcomed Hyundai to Spindogs HQ for a successful event with their Head of Communications.

Targets – The team have exceeded their target for the 3rd consecutive month! Incredible!

Dev7 – We’ve done some tweaks to Dev7 to bring it back to full speed

Emails received – Since March we’ve dealt with an incredible 400 emails coming into the IT inbox

Support

WP training – Jess and Lauren delivered WordPress training to the Capital Law Team!

WP documentation – We’ve finalised our WordPress PDF documentation which we’ve been sending out to clients.

New starter – Eliza is joining next week as Junior Support Rep.

No of tickets – 2392 tickets have been raised this month!

Extra support – We have the BP’s joining us for a day in support in May!!

Internal progression – Lauren is moving over to join the PM team as Assistant Project Manager.
