What’s been happening?
- We hosted our annual client party, which had a great reception, and has already resulted in a referral from the LinkedIn follow-up, it was great to engage with lots of existing clients, some of whom had driven for a few hours to join us, thanks to all involved!
- Tash has redesigned our content guide and Laura and Tash have both worked on a Housing Association whitepaper both of which will be in circulation this week, the latter as part of our Housing Expo follow up
What’s coming up?
- We have 2 exhibitions and 1 speaking opportunity on the books for the Autumn and so planning is underway for those
- We are hoping to confirm 2 other in-house interviews for September and October (e.g. Sarah, Brand Manager at Levi’s)
- We are in talks with 2 external parties who would like Spindogs to host their regular meetups and we will let you know if these come to fruition as they would be of interest to many of you
- We will be analysing performance up until this point as we start to plan for Q1
- Our focus for the remainder of Q4 is going to be the website and we will be working with various teams internally on this
People & Culture
What’s been happening?
- In July, there was a yoga session hosted by Cardiff Bay-based company Vibes. We had some incredible feedback from the team regarding this yoga session, and one of our colleagues said it was her favourite wellbeing session so far.
- Recruitment continues to be one of our main priorities and over the past month, we have been working with a new recruitment platform, which has a wealth of applicants.
- We sent out the first of our bi-annual DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging) survey. If you haven’t completed the survey please do so! We will be sharing the findings of the report in our next company-wide team meeting.
- And of course, we have been busy organising the staff party which took place this Thursday. We hope you all enjoyed yourselves! It was great to have so many of you in the office and working together cross-collaboratively during the activity.
What’s coming up?
Over the next coming months, we have lots of items that are planned and in motion.
- In August, Claire Swindell is hosting a Greenpeace Q&A with Rhinal Patel. Rhinal Patel is a speaker, writer and counsellor who works alongside Greenpeace and Amnesty International. She has spoken for the likes of the United Nations and other global organisations. We are so excited to have the chance to learn from her.
- We have booked a yoga session for the beginning of September, which will hopefully be held outside, but will very much be weather dependent.
- Alan from our HR team will be providing company-wide Resilience training and we will offer two online options. We have sent out the calendar invites.
- Alan will also be showing us how to make fudge
- We will begin to plan our end-of-year celebration and holiday festivities within the next two weeks.

Project Management
What’s been happening?
- The team have been working hard to support our clients with future phases of projects including Elmhurst Energy, ITEC and more!
- Working with Zoho projects to best map out projects and implement a project plan from the beginning, rather than using Zoho as a time tracking tool, is giving the team more insight into their projects and working within their project teams to deliver the projects effectively

- We’re welcoming a new team member from 1st September – Anya Summers will be joining the PM team!
- We’re continuing interviews for a further PM to join the team – if you have any connections that you feel may be suitable, please reach out!
Business Partner
What’s been happening?
- Strategy meetings are well underway with our BPs working with our clients to understand their pain points, objectives and how we can best support them as their digital partner.
Digital Marketing
What’s been happening?
- We’ve taken on some great retainers over the last month, including our first real consultative retainers
- We’ve been reviewing our service offering to understand where our opportunities lie for the next financial year in order to keep being industry experts and leaders
- Some great feedback has come off the back of our keyword research produced by Chris Tanti, with Lexis Nexis sharing that it was “The best bit of SEO research I have ever seen”
IT
What’s been happening?
- Audited all our WordPress sites, completing plugin updates and resolving any issues with plugins, ie sites needing to be updated to PHP7.4 with help from the lovely support team
- Audited the US sites with support
- Another busy month with the IT inbox 260 emails dealt with

What’s been happening?
- We’ve been busy onboarding Hannah McCambridge, who joined the team as Junior Support Rep!
