We are making progress as a team but we find ourselves in a position where we have a lot of opportunities that we are less confident will close as won. More speculative.

People & Culture 

Recruitment and onboarding continue to be a priority ​ –

  • We have received close to 400 applications in the past 2 months for the PM, .Net and PHP Dev roles alone
  • We are also recruiting for a Client Support Rep
  • Ensuring all applicants are replied to in a timely fashion and making sure the candidates have a good experience

Lunch ‘n’ learns – We had an art class over lunch in May, and today, we have a curry lesson from Fern! In June, Claire Farren, will be hosting a Productivity & Prioritisation session, virtually. For future lunch n learns we are looking at speakers on nutrition, Greenpeace, as well as diversity & inclusion. We are also looking at practical sessions on pizza making and yoga by the water.

Dext expense system – we have a new expense system and have rolled out training to those who regularly claim expenses. However, if you ever need to claim an expense please reach out to Mands.

We’ve hired a new Laravel Developer – Zara Bostock, Zara starts at the beginning of July!!

Working really hard to ensure we’re getting better at managing data in Zoho, to ensure it’s our one source of truth:

  • Timesheets managed daily
  • Projects closed correctly
  • Projects linked to CRM

Working together to support IT team in cleaning up Dev7 by auditing existing sites and removing any unnecessarily stored. This will be managed every 6 months moving forward.

Digital Marketing

DM now currently have the highest amount of retainers at the highest value we’ve ever had in Spindogs history! Huge thank you for everyone’s hard work on keeping those relationships going day after day and to the delivery team for always going above and beyond.

Chris’ keyword research run through with some of our internal teams was a HUGE success.

Ryan gave a talk at Tramshed for Marketshare, as mentioned above.

It is the final push for GA4.

Last, but by no means least – Hari & Ben have both recieved very well deserved promotions to Junior Digital Marketers.

IT

PHP Hosting – On our hosting dedicated servers we’ve installed and setup malware/antivirus scanning for all sites on a daily basis. I’m pleased to say nothing has been found so far!
